FuZZ Is Listening To - Love Always Remains - MGMT, You know how you put your iTunes, or Windows Media Player, or WinAmp or whatever you use to listen to music on Shuffle mode and Every song in your computer is in the playlist. Okay maybe you dont do it, but some people may and those people understand where im coming from. But this is a song that usually plays when my music player is on shuffle and its a song that i've always overlooked and grown to really like. It's a nice flowing song and not so Electro Poppy. Good song, give it a listen.

Remember the 90's? More importantly the Early 90's. And even more specifically video games in the early 90's. And to go even MORE intricately detailed.. Sega Megadrive and the Super Nintendo Entertainment System wars of the early 90's and late 80s? The 16-Bit wars. What a great day and age of video gaming. Back when the best graphics were like this.

Boogermen, a caped hero who slings his own boogers to vanquish his foes

Wow right, The realism was uncanny. But the best part was there were only 6 buttons, games weren't confusing. The platform games ruled, the Mario and the Sonics. Just run, press a button, dodge here or there and your sweet. Ohh good old fashioned video games. Simpler, easier, and beautiful times. I'm not downplaying new age video games, i love my GTA and Assassin's Creed, but i gotta say my love for video games stemmed from playing these fun loving videogames. Remember renting video games from the video shop, unjumbling the controller wires, sitting close so no one trips over your wire while playing, blowing on the cassette a few times because thats how everyone says you make the games work, buying magazines to find cheats (yes juniors, the internet wasn't always around for cheats), and best of all spending aaaages glued to the screen to finish the game (which honestly only took about a few hours). Gee whizz i miss these games.

Anyways the reason i'm pondering over all of this is because i just found out they're remaking NBA Jam! Like OH MY GOD! This game was the bomb! The Yoda of all Basketball Games. The Black Belt of NBA games. The Mr Miyagi of Ball Bouncing video games. Heres how the first first first first FIRST ever NBA Jam i played looked.

Now Check out THESE Graphics

NBA Jam was a two on two basketball game, Probably because 5 on 5 would be too confusing to our young video gamed minds. But it was so so good, had all the best players, who are now classics, Hakeem Olajuwan,Scotty Pippen, Charles Barkley, Dennis Rodman, Reggie Miller, Shaq (Jeez he's old) and Karl Malone. Rodman had like a tonne of different hair colors. The best thing about this game was the cheats. You could give them big heads, big shoes or the ultimate Dunks. Run on the far side of the court, press a button and you'd fly ALLLLL the way to the other side and dunk it, did i also mention that there are sparkly stars on your feet when you do it. Naturally, The game's based on a novel.. the Memoirs of Fuzz. Then there's another cheat where you can practically shoot from anywhere and still get it in. Un-Stoppable i says! Or as the game says BOOM-SHAKA-LAKA!!!

The commentary in this game is Legendary. They'd yell out The Monster Jam, Boom SHAKA LAKA, WHOOP There it is, and SLAMMA JAMMA!!! Like who says that these days... Light bulb...I'M GONNA SAY THAT THESE DAYS!

So yes, im hella excited cause Nintendo Wii is gonna get a remake of these old school NBA Jam games. They already remade the classic Super Mario Bros Games and from what i saw that looks sooo so good. It's nice being reminded of our more youthful, less stressful, more innocent and very very fun days. Video Games aren't bad. =D

Peace Out, One Love!
